The Basque Connection Program is for the Basque students of Bergara, and surrounding areas, to travel to the USA and live with an American family during the month of July. The program is designed to help students improve their level of English, experience American Culture while being part of an American Family, make friends with American teens, participate in an adventure camp experience, and most of all have an unforgettable life experience.

Basque Connection Application

Information & Details

- Dates: End of June/Beginning of July - July 31st
- Program fee: $2,050 (Flight cost paid separately)
- Location: Greater Seattle area, Washington State
- Age Requirement: 15-18

Cost includes:

- 3-4 week homestay with an American family
- Adventure Camp with other American teens. Activities may include, rafting, climbing, hiking, zipline, sleeping under the stars and more.
- Trusted flight monitor to accompany students on flights.
- Medical insurance while participating in the program.

Basque Connection will provide a flight monitor on specific days and purchase the plane tickets all together. Which will be paid separately to ensure the best price possible. This will allow your student to travel with a chaperone to the USA and back to Basque Country. It will be the responsibility of the student to meet at the Bilbo Airport at the indicated time. Transportation home from Airport upon return to Basque Country in not provided.

Dallas and Nikki have loved hosting Basque students at their home in Washington State for the last 10 years with their 2 boys, Houston (16) and Phoenix (14). The boys have greatly enjoyed their experiences growing up with their Basque brothers and sisters. Dallas and Nikki oversee all details of the summer program to ensure students have an amazing summer experience! We look forward to hosting your student this year!!
