Our goal of gathering together is to clearly present the message of Jesus Christ, through the lens of Scripture, in a way that is relevant. Our community is open to everyone regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.
What Should I Expect?
Each Sunday our community of friendly people enjoy fellowship together, coffee and refreshments, authentic worship through upbeat and engaging music, and a laid back “come as you are” atmosphere.
We typically start with 3 songs meant to engage our hearts in worshipful response to who God is and what He has done for us.
We transition to communion together each week, as we remember what Christ did for us on the cross. It is followed by another song as we respond in worship.
The next part of our gathering is focused on community with video announcements, which are meant to inform you about church life and give you opportunities to connect.
That is followed by a 5 minute greeting time to dismiss the Children’s Ministry to their classes, grab some coffee and refreshments, and greet each other before the message.
The rest of our time will be spent in God’s Word, as we hear a message from Pastor Dale or occasionally from one of our other Pastors or Elders.
We conclude our gathering with a final song in worshipful response to God’s Word.
What Should I Wear?
1 Samuel 16:7 says “man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
Here at Calvary Fellowship Gig Harbor, we’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. Most people will dress in casual weekend attire, others prefer their Sunday best. Dress how you feel comfortable and you’ll fit right in!
What is There for My Kids?
Our volunteers will make sure your kids have an exciting and fun time, learning about God and Biblical values.
The Nursery is available for infants through Pre-K during the entire worship service. Kindergarten through 5th grade kids will be with us for worship, and then have their own class during the message.
Middle school and high school (6th-12 grade) join us for the service on Sundays and have their own youth group meetings Wednesday nights at 6:00pm in the Student Ministry Building (SMB) at Peninsula Christian Fellowship.
We believe your kids will have a great time and will look forward to coming back each week.
Teaching
At Calvary Fellowship Gig Harbor you can expect to find expository Biblical teaching. We dive into a book of the Bible and go through it verse by verse. Each Sunday you will hear a message straight from Scripture delivered in a relevant and practical way.
