Missionaries

Marshall & Jill Lewis

Marshall and Jill Lewis are missionaries with To Every Tribe.

To Every Tribe exists to extend the worship of Christ among all peoples by mobilizing the church, training disciple-makers, and sending missionary teams to plant churches among the unreached. One of To Every Tribe’s goals is to see a healthy, reproducing, indigenous church in all 29 of the remote First Nation Communities of Northwest Ontario, Canada. There are currently missionaries church planting in two of these communities. One of the unique challenges they face is that the communities do not have high schools. Students leave their parents and fly to the town of Sioux Lookout to attend a First Nations high school. The missionaries’ hearts are broken when they see the youth that they have built relationships with leave the community to go to high school. Often the seeds of the gospel that they have planted are choked out by the world before they can be watered. They long for someone to be in Sioux Lookout who can water those seeds during those four years.

The Lewises and their teammates are working in Sioux Lookout in order to meet this need. Pray that these students would believe the gospel and be trained to be the future leaders of Christ’s church among these First Nations peoples.
